Udział w debacie: Unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain
A workshop on "Unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain (UTP)" chaired by MEP Dawid Bohdan JACKIEWICZ (ECR, PL) will be held on 24 March in the European Parliament. The workshop is organised by EP Policy Department A on the request of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO).
Unfair trading practices undermine the Internal Market in retail services, and make it difficult for competitors from other Member States to approach specific national markets. They generally reflect imbalances in commercial relationships, where one trading partner has significantly greater bargaining power than its counterparty.
The workshop will take stock of such practices and consider possible regulatory responses to them. The results of the workshop will provide input for the non-legislative own-initiative report that the Internal market committee has requested, following the referral of the European Commission´s Communication on "Tackling unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain" of 14 July 2014.
MEPs on the Internal market committee will have the possibility to hear the presentations and debate the UTP issues with experts, including Ryszard Florek (CEO, Fakro), Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke (Osnabrück University), Prof. Cedric Argenton (Tilburg University), Paulo Gouveia (Director, Copa-Cogeca), Dr. Dominik Wolski (Polish Confederation Lewiatan) and Tom Björkroth (Finish Competition and Consumer Authority).
For registration please e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org providing your name, date of birth, nationality, passport or ID card number by 17 March 2015.
